CAMP PEARSON.  We have enjoyed visits by our grandchildren to the Lakehouse and TAProots Farm each August.  For the last few years, we have enrolled Miles, now 8 years old, in Camp Cory, a terrific day Camp run by the Rochester YMCA.  We had planned for Miles and his brother, Graham, age 5 years, to both attend this year, until the Governor of New York declared Illinois residents need to quarantine for two weeks.  So, no camp, no problem.  The solution is Camp Pearson!  Nonny and PopPop have brought the camp experience to TAProots.  Several activities are already here:  blueberry picking, riding in Smokey (our ATV), hiking in the woods, Ladder ball,  etc.  We also added a number of new attractions.   A 100 foot Zipline cable has been strung through the woods and down the hill next to the Lakehouse, allowing the kids to fly down to an abrupt landing.  We also built a slack line between two trees and put an obstacle course of rings, ropes, etc. for the kids to swing from one tot he next.  The new hay bales next to the barn are an excellent target for our new archery set.  A T-ball field has also appeared next to the blueberry patch.  The kids now have most of the things they enjoyed at Camp Cory, with Nonny and PopPop as their camp counselors!
